Using positive motivation and positive reinforcement, you learn to set your dog up to succeed, and training becomes fun and easy for both you and your dog. These methods are simple enough for a child to learn - as a matter of fact, children should learn to work with dogs in the house! If you have children, they are included in the process, to help them gain some control over the dog, and to help foster their bond. Since you learn how to have your dog respond to both hand and verbal signals, even small children can learn to give your dog commands that he can recognize.

Unlike group lessons, filled with distractions that keep your dog stressed and unable to focus, in-home lessons allow you to work in a calm, familiar environment for your dog.

Your dog can relax and learn, and you get one-on-one personalized attention to your needs instead of a cookie-cutter program. Your lessons are completely about you and your dog, so you can make the most of what is covered, get your own issues addressed, and ask as many questions as you like.

I come to your home and teach you to train your dog. Your whole family should be involved in the training, to learn to control the dog and build a terrific relationship in the process. We work together to create a program to get you where you want to be with your dog. Along the way you'll discover how dogs learn, what motivates your specific dog, the importance of management and consistency, and how to form a two-way communication with your dog.
